Students learn, observe, predict, and collect data on natural life cycles. They learn and share cultural studies based on plant origins and adaptation processes to the islands. Students develop a strong connection to their food source through the experience of watching a plant grow, learning about the plant's life cycles, collecting data on growth and illustrating stages of its life cycle. Our students have an opportunity to develop a diverse food palate through place based education that supports grade level benchmarks.
