H201-Stop Motion Animations
Students were asked to create a stop motion animation about bullying, kindness or respect. To do this project they:
- brainstormed characters, settings and problems
- created a story about their characters and then wrote a script of the story
- created a 10 frame storyboard for their movie (included long shots, medium shots and close up shots
- created their characters and backgrounds
- used iStop Motion on the iPads
- some groups edited and added sounds with iMovie on the iPads

Teija and Jaelynn - Respect
This is about a family taking a trip to Japan. Henry doesn't want to go and it seems like he doesn't respect the culture. His sister, Hope, is excited about the trip. As they visit Japan Henry changes his attitude and discovers that the trip might not be bad after all.
Jerney and Ezekiel - Bullying
A penguin named Max has troubles with 3 leopard seal bullies. Max got help from his school principal. The bullies apologized and asked Max if they could be friends. After that they became friends.
Ayden and Kharsin - Bullying
Steve goes to his first day of school. All of the other fish are blue or green and Steve is orange. Most of the other fish tease Steve because he is different. A few days later there is a new fish. The new fish, named Ben, is purple and becomes friends with Steve. Ben realizes that Steve gets bullied. Ben stands up and convinces them that bullying is wrong. Now nobody gets bullied.
Jonathan and Bryan - Bullying
It was Zak's first day in the herd. Other zebras see him and start whispering about him having no stripes. Then the toughest zebra, Ken, comes and he teases Zak, but little did Ken know that Zak wasn't afraid to tell on Ken. When that was over they became friends.
Ally and Savinna
Cassidy is being bullied by some children at school. The next day she wakes up and has become a butterfly with bright colors. At school in the principalʻs office the girls who were bullying Cassidy are meeting with the principal and receive detention. They apologize and then they all get along.

Aeva and Nanea - Bullying
This is a story about a singing group. Cardi is trying to sing, but another girl in the group makes fun of her singing and causes Cardi to cry and not come to practice. Coach wonders where Cardi is and sends the girls to find her. Niki finds Cardi crying and asks her whatʻs wrong. Cardi tells Niki sheʻs crying because Niki said she was a bad singer. Niki said that she was just jealous and then she apologized. Then they became friends.
Erin and Lavine - Bullying
A bunny went to a party and was bullied by another bunny. Another bunny stands up for the bunny being bullied. The bully bunny says sorry and the other two bunnies become friends. The message: Stop Bullying - Treat others the way you wanted to be treated.
Blake and Marley - Kindness
Jake was walking down a street and saw one homeless man. On the sign it said, "need money for my kids." So, then Jake ran to the nearest ATM. After Jake got $50 he bought a McDonalds gift card and gave the homeless man the card. Then the homeless manʻs life was changed forever.
Delaney and Aleeya - Bullying
Three students are jealous of another student because she is pretty so they cornered her by her locker and started to beat her up. Ms. Yellow sees the students and calls them into her office to see what was going on. The kids told Ms. Yellow that they were jealous of Blue because she was pretty and they beat her up so she wouldnʻt be so pretty. Ms. Yellow told the students that was no excuse to beat her up, suspended the students for 1 week and contacted their parents. The students apologized and Blue forgave them.
Logan and Kamaile
Sammie, the penguin, was in her igloo home checking her Fishbook account. Someone named Felica had left her a mean comment. Sammie got her feelings hurt and told her mom. Her mom told principal Monkey because Felica goes to her school. The next day at school, Felica gave the stink eye to Sammie. During recess the principal talks to Felica and tells her to say sorry to Sammie and asks her why she did that. Felica said, "I wanted revenge to Sammie from taking my friend in 2nd grade." Principal Monkey said, "Sammie did you try to take Feliaʻs friend?" "NEVER!!" said Sammie. The principal said, "So it was just a misunderstanding?" They both say, "Ohhhh." The next day they became Best Friends.
