F102-Scratch Jr. Habitat Animations

Our second grade students learn about habitats throughout the school year. In our third trimester of programming/robotics we took what students knew and created an animation of their habitats using Scratch Jr. Students needed to choose their favorite habitat, create drawings of the habitat and the animals that you would find in the habitat. Then they created 4 slides in Scratch Jr.
Slide #1 - title slide with the name of the habitat
Slide #2 - show how your animals move in the habitat
Slide #3 - show what your animals eat and drink in thehabitat
Slide #4 - where would you animal go for shelter in the habitat
Scratch Jr. already has a library of backgrounds and characters, but our 2nd graders were asked to draw their own backgrounds and characters.
